OGLALA
RE-CREATION & WORSHIP CENTER Prayer & Praise
There is so much to praise our Lord God for these last couple of months. He provided wonderful people to come and spend the summer with us and bless our community with V.B.S., teen outreaches, work projects and home repairs. Plus thanks to the once again tireless and faithful efforts of The Lakota Outreach Team, we now have a sanctuary! They came at the end of July and in one week renovated our “old” gym. With this renovation we now have a permanent sanctuary that can seat 160, (compared to 60), a permanent Kid’s Church room, bunkhouse and fellowship hall. I told you we have a lot to praise Him for.

Plus on September 3rd we picked up our newest team member from the airport, Mary Maedler. Mary has been coming out to volunteer on and off for the past nine years. She has finally taken a leap of faith and has committed to the Lord three years of her life to love on the Oglala Lakota people. We are glad to have her as part of our family and look forward to realizing the vision together.
Although there is so much more to praise Him for, there are also a lot of situations that need to be soaked in constant prayer. We have been experiencing a lot of death lately, some tragic and disastrous, such as Elijah Martin and Sparky Ten Fingers, some not so tragic, such as Grandma Catches. The community seems to be in a state of shock and is need of a breakthrough.
Please pray for these three things, constantly and fervently:
1. For the eyes of the community to be opened, that they may see Jesus clearly for who He really is, and with that, make a definitive decision to forsake their sins and follow after Him.
2. For the ones that are serving the Lord, to be strengthened and empowered to be the Light and Salt that they are and also for complete protection against the evil one
3. For the mission team to walk in the wisdom and love of the Holy Spirit; to Be Jesus to the community and to shepherd the flock faithfully and efficiently.
Jesus is coming back soon, is He going to catch us sleeping or find us awake? Are we going to be doing our will or fulfilling His? Will we be about our business or His business? Will we be living our life or living His Life, the one He paid such a dear price for.
